Dual-phase steels with outstanding material properties for automotive engineering
General
Dual-phase steels consist of a basic ferrite matrix that holds a hard martensitic dual-phase. The proportion of martensite is set by using a selective cooling process. It critically determines the material‘s strength. Using various ingenious cooling strategies, Salzgitter Flachstahl manufactures the widest range of dual phase steels for a multitude of applications.
